The work "Cloud" carries a strong expressive force that transcends over the time and space. With using semitransparent resin made Cloud and sculptures of human figure that moving through the cloud, represents the ancient beholding of styles, process and the meaning of human existence, the living of human being. As a whole, it should be understood as a process of ceaseless circles and repetitions. The installation is intended to deliver and communicate the mysterious, abstract yet ‘force majeure’ nature of life, by stressing the symbolic meaning through transcending the time and space.

Biography

Xu Zhongmin is an artist who creates interactive multimedia installations that deliver and communicate the mysterious, abstract yet ‘force majeure’ nature of life, by stressing the symbolic meaning through transcending the time and space.

His works have been commissioned and presented nationally and internationally at museums and galleries such as the; ZKM Art Museum, Karlsruhe, Germany. Xu Zhongmin was the recipient of an Award of
Award from The British Council,UK. Awarded The Guinness Prize for the Best First-Time Contributor at the Royal Academy of Arts,London,UK.
